RAFTER 22'S MAMA TRIED AKA MERLEY
About
Meet Merley, a spirited blue merle Mini Aussie with medium energy and a high drive. Registered with ASDR, she thrives on the farm, where she loves to herd her Aussie family. She has been exposed to our cattle herd, and possesses the qualities of a working dog. Merley may be a bit timid around strangers, but her eagerness to please shines through with everyone she trusts. Whether she's by your side or keeping an eye on her surroundings, Merley is the truly the definition of a velcro dog.
Merley as a Mama
Merley is an exceptional mama, known for her attentiveness, and gentleness with her puppies. Following in the footsteps of her own mother, Mesa, Merley proudly tends to large litters, often welcoming 8-12 lively pups. Her nurturing nature ensures that each puppy receives the love and care they need to thrive. With Merley, you can be sure that every puppy is in safe and loving hands.
Merley's Mama
We got Mesa from Rimfire Aussies in Oregon. Her breeder, Sylvia Whitmore of Rimfire Aussies, is considered one of the foundation breeders of the Miniature Australian Shepherd. Mesa was an incredible mom to large litters of 11-13 puppies. She is incredibly intelligent, cuddly, and possesses the conformation I needed to produce well structured puppies. Mesa stands at a compact size of 16.5" tall and weighs 32lbs. Mesa retired in 2023.
Merley's Dad
Meet Aspen, a striking black tri stud from Wiggle Tail Trails in Colorado. Standing at 15 tall and weighing 24 lbs, he’s a high-energy companion with a medium drive and an eagerness to please. Aspen is intelligent, agile, loyal, and fiercely devoted to being the best dog. When he is not playing ball or hiking, he enjoys snuggling up next to us on the couch. With his captivating blue eyes and charming personality, Aspen is the perfect all-around dog for any adventure!
